The Moster trio in Straw hats pirate is refered to luffy , zoro and sanji. Nami is the one who dubbed them the Monster Trio because those three have astonishingly inhuman strength. Straw hats before 2 years time-skip Luffy committed a serious crime. He punched one of the most powerfull beings, CELESTIAL DRAGON in One piece verse. Due to his action an admiral and warships were alarmed to punish and capture him. Luffy and his crew was defeated by the admiral Kizaru and the Marines in the Sabaody park. Strawhat crew was all sent to different part of the world by the paw paw devil fruit user Bartholomew Kuma , one of the SICHIBUKAI ( 7 warlords of the sea).
